FAQ
1. Booking & Payments
Securing Your Date: To confirm and secure your preferred session date and time, we require a 10% non-refundable retainer at the time of booking. This ensures that your session is exclusively reserved within our studio calendar.
Final Balance: The remaining balance is due in full by the day of your scheduled session.
Scheduling: Once you book with us, you will receive access to your personal Client Portal. There, you can submit your preferred dates, and our General Manager will personally coordinate with you to finalize the schedule.
2. Locations & Travel
Studio vs. Location: We offer both studio (30-min minimum) and on-location sessions (1-hour minimum) to suit your vision.
Travel Policy: Complimentary travel within a 20-mile roundtrip from our studio in Midtown Manhattan is included. For locations exceeding this radius, an additional fee of $2 per mile will apply.
Permits & Fees: While we are happy to assist in scouting the perfect location, the client is responsible for securing any necessary permits and covering location-specific fees.
Weather: For outdoor sessions, we will discuss and coordinate backup dates in advance to ensure a seamless experience regardless of the weather.
3. The Creative Process
Creative Direction: We believe in capturing the unscripted moments and the unique "eye for beauty" that defines our experience. Beyond traditional family groupings, we ask that you trust our creative vision to document your story as it naturally unfolds.
Shot Lists: While we follow traditional family groupings and welcome your specific lists for those portraits, working strictly from a checklist for other moments can be counterproductive to our creative process.
Venue Rules: We are committed to respecting venue guidelines to maintain a high level of decorum. Please provide any site rules in a timely fashion so we can coordinate with the site director if necessary.
4. Delivery & Rights
Timeline: You will receive all raw captures from your session within one week. Your final, meticulously retouched images will be delivered via a private online gallery within one month after your selection.
Copyright & Printing: Every session includes a personal copyright release. This grants you the freedom to create your own prints, enlargements, and albums from the high-resolution, print-ready files we provide.
5. Reliability & Contingency
Emergency Policy: In the rare event of a personal or professional emergency, our studio will provide a talented substitute associate photographer at no additional cost to you.
Professional Network: As active members of professional photography organizations, we maintain an elite network of colleagues to ensure your session is documented beautifully, no matter the circumstances.
